Hot Stone Massage pairs massage technique with heated, smooth basalt stones that the therapist glides and rests against your body. It suits guests who want deeper muscle work without relying on firm hand pressure alone. The 60-minute session costs AED 500. The 90-minute session costs AED 800, with extra time covering the back, legs and shoulders. Guests who run cold or feel stiff after long hours sitting or standing often notice the warmth settling tension faster than a standard massage.
How the Hot Stone Massage session works
The stones are warmed to a controlled, comfortable range. Your therapist checks the temperature against their own hand before it touches your skin. As the stones move across tight muscles, the warmth helps the tissue soften. This lets European-certified therapists work deeper without extra hand pressure. Some stones rest briefly at points such as the spine or palms while the therapist works elsewhere. If a stone feels too warm at any point, say so, and your therapist will cool it or switch it straight away. The session takes place in a private room at RuSpa. The warm-up and stone-heating process is the same for both durations, so the extra 30 minutes simply covers more of the body.
Hot Stone Massage in Al Barsha
RuSpa is inside Courtyard by Marriott Dubai, on Al Barsha Road behind Mall of the Emirates. The spa opens daily from 10:00 to 02:00. Walk-ins are welcome whenever a room is free. Since the stones need time to heat, messaging ahead lets the front desk prepare before you arrive. Reach RuSpa on WhatsApp or by phone at +971 52 597 2387 to check availability. Mention if this is your first hot stone session, and the therapist will explain the temperature checks before starting.
