Our Team
Our Massage Therapists in Dubai
RuSpa’s therapists are European-certified and trained in the Russian and European massage schools the spa is named for: firm, rhythmic work for tired muscles and lighter, flowing strokes for relaxation. Each session starts with a short conversation about what you need, and the pressure is adjusted to you throughout.
Every treatment takes place in a private room inside Courtyard by Marriott Al Barsha. You can ask for a specific therapist when you book on WhatsApp, and couples or friends can be treated together in the couple’s suite. We are open daily from 10:00 to 02:00.

How a Session Works
1. A short consultation
Before the massage the therapist asks what you need that day, which areas to focus on or avoid, and how firm you like the pressure.
2. Pressure adjusted to you
Russian-style work is firmer and rhythmic, European strokes are lighter. Say the word at any moment and the pressure changes.
3. Privacy throughout
Every treatment is in a private room; couples and friends can use the couple’s suite. You can ask for a specific therapist when you book.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does "European-certified" mean for RuSpa's therapists?
European-certified means RuSpa's therapists have trained and qualified in European massage technique, with additional training in Russian-style methods used across the treatment menu. In practice, this shows up in how a session is structured: therapists know when to use the lighter, flowing strokes associated with European massage and when to shift to the firmer, targeted pressure of Russian technique. The certification also covers safe use of tools like hot stones and the coordinated four-hands work used in Double Relaxation Massage sessions. Rather than running one fixed routine, a certified therapist adapts technique to the treatment booked and to how a guest's body responds during the session itself. This training is what lets RuSpa offer nine distinct treatments rather than variations on a single massage style. Book on WhatsApp and let the team know which treatment you are interested in.
Can I request a specific therapist for my session?
You can request a specific therapist if you have visited RuSpa before and want the same person again, subject to their availability at your booking time. When you message to book, mention that you would like to request a particular therapist along with your preferred date and time, and staff will confirm whether that therapist is free for the slot you want. If your preferred therapist is not available, staff can suggest the next available appointment or a different therapist trained in the same treatment style. First-time guests without a preference are simply matched with whoever is available for the treatment and time chosen. Requesting the same therapist across visits can help if you liked how a previous session felt and want a consistent approach next time. Message RuSpa on WhatsApp with your request when you book.
What happens during the consultation before a massage starts?
Every session at RuSpa starts with a short consultation so the therapist understands what you want from the treatment before any massage begins. During this conversation, the therapist asks about problem areas, pressure preference, and anything you want to avoid, such as a recent injury or an area that is sensitive to touch. This is also the point to mention if you are trying a treatment for the first time, since the therapist can explain what to expect from techniques like hot stone work or the four-hands method used in some treatments. The consultation takes only a few minutes but shapes how the rest of the session runs, from pressure to which areas get the most focus. It is a normal part of every booking, not an extra step you need to request. Arrive a few minutes early so there is time for this conversation.
Can I ask the therapist to adjust the pressure during the massage?
Yes, you can ask your therapist to adjust pressure at any point during the massage, and doing so is a normal part of every session. Therapists start with the pressure level discussed in the pre-massage consultation, but bodies respond differently once a treatment is underway, so speaking up partway through is expected rather than unusual for guests. This applies across all nine treatments, from the firmer strokes used in Deep Muscle Relaxation Massage to the lighter touch of Oil Aroma Massage sessions. If a technique such as hot stone work feels too intense or too light, say so and the therapist will adjust it immediately. Clear communication during the session is the easiest way to get a treatment that actually matches what your body needs that day. Mention any preferences again when you arrive if you want to be sure.
How private is a treatment session at RuSpa?
Treatment sessions at RuSpa take place in private, single-occupancy rooms, so you are alone with your therapist for the full appointment unless you have booked a shared couple's suite. Rooms are set apart from general hotel traffic, which keeps sessions quiet and away from passing guests moving through the wider hotel. For shared bookings like Indulgences for Two, the private couple's suite works the same way, just with two guests and two therapists in one enclosed space rather than a shared open area. Consultations and any preferences you share with your therapist stay between you and the person treating you, not shared beyond the room. This setup is designed so a session feels like a genuine break from the hotel around it rather than a quick treatment in a busy space. Book on WhatsApp if privacy during your visit is a priority.
